Krebet Tourism Village, Industrial Engineering Program Assistance UNY Receives Kemenparekraf's 50 Best Indonesian Tourism Village Award (ADWI)

On Saturday, July 20, 2024, Krebet Tourism Village received a prestigious award as one of the 50 Best Tourism Villages in Anugerah Desa Wisata Indonesia (ADWI) 2024 from the Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Salahuddin Uno. In this event full of enthusiasm and appreciation, Krebet Tourism Village invited the Industrial Engineering Study Program, Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University (FT UNY) to strengthen the collaboration that has been established.

Krebet Tourism Village, with the tagline “Batik Kayunya Indonesia,” is known as the pioneer and center of the wooden batik industry. The success of entering the top 50 ADWI 2024 shows the great potential that Krebet Tourism Village has in the tourism sector and other creative economies. The Minister of Tourism and Creative Economy, Sandiaga Uno, highly appreciates this achievement and encourages further development of the existing potential.

The Industrial Engineering Study Program of FT UNY has carried out various community service activities in Krebet Tourism Village in 2024 as part of the service assignment from UNY. In addition, this study program will also still carry out community service activities with funding from the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research and Technology (Kemendikbud).

This collaboration is expected to not only stop at community service activities, but also cover various other aspects that can increase the potential and development of Krebet Tourism Village. Through a strong synergy between the academic world and the local community, it is hoped that Krebet Tourism Village can continue to grow and become a successful example of the integration of education, industry and the creative economy.
