The handover of leadership positions at the Faculty of Engineering UNY, a moment of reflection on the journey of leadership and service.

Located in the conference room KPLT 2nd floor, Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University (06/12), a farewell event was held, as well as a moment of reflection on the journey of leadership and service. The event marked the end of the service period of the Vice Dean, Department Head, and Department Secretary for the 2019-2023 period.

Prof. Dr. Ir. Edy Supriyadi, M.Pd., Vice Dean for Academic, Student Affairs, & Alumni of the Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University, appeared as a representative of the ranks of vice deans for the 2019-2023 period by delivering meaningful remarks. In a warm farewell moment at the KPLT Conference Room, 2nd floor, he congratulated the new officials and expressed his support for those who will carry out the mandate of Faculty leadership.

“We would like to say that the success of the program at FT is inseparable from students, lecturers, koorprodi, sekdep, kadep, vice dean, dean, and senate. Therefore, we will succeed if all these elements can work together as well as possible,” said Prof. Edy Supriyadi.

On the same occasion, Dr. Ir. Zainal Arifin, M.T., Head of the Department of Automotive Engineering Education FT UNY for the 2019-2023 period, expressed his gratitude for the support during his two terms of service. Dr. Zainal hopes that what has been done can make a positive contribution to the Faculty and University. “In carrying out our duties, we certainly hope that our friends who will be in charge next can continue what we have done,” added Dr. Zainal Arifin.

The series of speeches in the farewell event at the KPLT Conference Room 2nd floor of the Faculty of Engineering, Yogyakarta State University was closed with words of sincere appreciation from the Dean of FT UNY, Prof. Dr. Mutiara Nugraheni, S.TP., M.Si. In her speech, she expressed her appreciation for the dedication and cooperation that has been shown by the old management, especially in facing the challenges of the COVID-19 pandemic.

Prof. Mutiara Nugraheni expressed her gratitude, “I would like to express my high appreciation to the old board, especially in dealing with unexpected situations such as the COVID-19 pandemic. The dedication and cooperation shown is very meaningful for the smooth running of lectures, especially in the online era which is a policy to maintain mutual safety and health.”

He highlighted the quick adaptation and responsiveness of the previous administrators, which allowed the online lectures to run smoothly. “The rapid adaptation of the previous administrators was the key to success in dealing with the pandemic. This shows high professionalism and responsibility towards the duties and functions of the Faculty of Engineering,” added Prof. Mutiara Nugraheni.

Prof. Mutiara also emphasized that the Faculty of Engineering UNY, as a faculty that prioritizes skills, managed to overcome various obstacles that arose. “We know that FT is characterized by a focus on skills development. Although there were shortcomings in the midst of the pandemic, we managed to overcome them thanks to the performance, dedication, and collaboration of all elements in the Faculty,” she said enthusiastically.

He continued his remarks by expressing his hopes for the new management, “Congratulations and success to the new management for this new mandate, it is a responsibility that must be carried out wholeheartedly,” said Prof. Mutiara Nugraheni.
