THE FLYING ROBOT TEAM OF AKSA BIANTARA UNY WON 2ND PLACE IN WIDYATAMA INTERNATIONAL INNOVATION & ACADEMIC COMPETITION 2020

On December 11, 2020, the Aksa Biantara Team representing UNY Robotics team from student activity unit of Technology Engineering participated in the 2020 Widyatama International Innovation & Academic Competition at Widyatama University. This team participated in Instrumentation & Control Contest II category and won 2nd place with an innovation presented as "Dynamic Float Telemetry Based On Blimp Drone for Multi-node Disaster Detection System".

The Aksa Biantara team consists of Zulhakim Seftiyana Roviyan (Electronics Engineering Education), Dheni Leodari (Mechatronics Engineering Education), Faris Alfianto  (Mechatronics Engineering Education) and Fahrul Hidayat (Electrical Engineering Education) under the guidance of Oktaf Agni Dhewa, S.Si, M.Cs and D.phil. Ir. Mashoedah, S.Pd., MT.

Preparation for the team in this competition began in early November. "For more than a month, we tried to make use our time in making innovations in the field of unmanned object technology and began designing it with great care," Zulhakim said.

"We are making technological innovations that applied an EWS that is integrated with IoT. One of these technologies is the use of unmanned flying objects using hot air balloons. The flying object of a hot air balloon is known as the Blimp Drone. The Blimp Drone will function as a master data container from the flood detection sensor nodes sent via an RF antenna,” Zulhakim said. (Ayuni Nawangsih, Tj.Lak)
